About MonmouthWeb

A Web Company Run By Someone Who's Own Sites Are #1 On Google!

pictureMonmouthWeb is owned by internet entrepreneur, Philip Riou. Philip has been working in the graphic design business for 22 years. His career in design began when he cut short his A-Level studies to become a sign writer in his home island of Guernsey. As well as traditional signwriting (with a brush!) he worked with computer-cut vinyl lettering, CAD design, screen printing, exhibition stands for high-profile clients including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Schweppes, Kleinwort Benson, Rothchilds and Lloyds TSB. Philip printed items used on NASA's Space Shuttle, and has even worked on repainting the Queen Elizabeth II carriage for her visit to Sark in the late 1980s.

In 1993, Philip set up his own sign and design business in Guernsey. During a six year period, his work was published in magazines including SignCraft's (Centenary Issue), Loaded and Ride magazines. Philip became interested in commodity futures trading in 1998 and this lead to starting his first internet business where he had to adapt his design expertise to web design and learn new skills in search engine ranking and optimisation.

Over the years, Philip achieved dozens of top positions on Google and other major search engines for his futures trading businesses.

Philip moved to Monmouth in 2007 and launched MonmouthWeb in March 2009 to allow other local businesses to benefit from his experience in web design and to help them achieve top search engine positions.
